By promoting safer and more responsive communities, the Awe Responder APP is contributing to a sustainable solution for South Africa's most pressing issues.

    PANIC BUTTON

The Panic Button feature on the Awe Responder APP is designed to quickly request backup or assistance for responders who find themselves in a dangerous situation. It uses geolocation technology to identify the responder's location and assign the closest available backup responders to provide assistance. When the Panic Button is pressed, it sends an alert to the monitoring center, indicating that the responder requires immediate assistance. The monitoring center can then dispatch backup responders to the location using the built-in navigation feature. This feature adds an extra layer of safety and security for responders working in hazardous or high-risk environments, ensuring that they receive timely and effective assistance during emergencies. It can also help prevent or mitigate potentially dangerous situations.

    ALIVE SIGNAL

The ``Alive Signal`` feature in the Awe Responder APP is designed to enhance the safety of responders while on duty. This feature enables responders to periodically send a signal to the command center, confirming that they are still safe and alive. The frequency of the signals can be customized according to the requirements of the organization. This feature allows for real-time tracking of the responder's location and replaces the need for manual check-ins through older methods like radio or cellphone. If the responder fails to send the signal within the set timeframe, the command center receives an alert, triggering an immediate response to the responder's location. The ``Alive Signal`` feature is a digital solution that provides an efficient and reliable means of ensuring the safety of responders while on duty.

    NEWS / DIGITAL OB

The OB (Occurrence Book) button in The Awe Responder APP is a modern and efficient digital tool that enables responders to report incidents through multimedia attachments, including photos, videos, and voice notes. This innovative feature replaces the traditional paper-based incident reporting system, providing a more streamlined and transparent method of documenting incidents. By using the OB button, responders can create detailed and accurate reports that can be accessed and managed in real-time by the Command Centre. This results in a faster response to incidents and greater accountability for all parties involved. Additionally, each log is geo-tagged, allowing the Command Centre to quickly identify the location of the reported incident for a more accurate and effective response.

    ASSIGNMENTS

The Awe Responder APP's Assignment feature allows available responders to accept assignments directly from their smartphones. Once they have accepted the assignment, they can view the incident's location on a map and use the built-in navigation feature to navigate to the scene. Upon arrival, responders can signal their arrival and departure via the app, and attach multimedia files, such as photos, audio, or video, to provide additional information and context about the incident. This information is sent in real-time to the monitoring center, enabling operators to quickly and accurately assess the situation and take appropriate action. After completing the assignment, responders can confirm their departure through the app, which creates an accurate and up-to-date record of all incidents and responses. The Assignment feature can significantly improve response times, increase situational awareness, and provide a reliable and easily accessible record of all incidents and responses.

    SUPERVISOR FEATURE

Creating Tours and Patrols using the APP

The Awe Responder APP offers a feature that enables supervisors to create routes, tours, or rounds and ensure that they are completed within predefined times. Using the app, supervisors can add waypoints and set a time frame for each one, and the assigned responder or guard is required to reach each waypoint within the specified time frame to complete the round or tour. Additionally, supervisors can set up the type of check-in that should be used for each waypoint, which can be NFC, QR code, or geolocation. When the patroller/responder/guard comes within a specified distance of the waypoint, the check-in is logged, providing a record of the round/tour completion for the supervisor to review. Overall, this feature provides an efficient and transparent way to monitor and manage the completion of rounds/tours and ensures that all necessary areas are checked within the specified time frame.

    EXTRA BUTTONS

The Awe Responder APP is equipped with 12 customizable buttons that can be programmed to perform various functions such as sending reports, communicating with the command center, or other responders on the network. These buttons can be configured to perform tasks that are specific to the organization's needs. For instance, one button could be set up to provide a status update to the command center, letting them know that the responder has arrived at a particular location. Another button could be configured to request backup or additional resources during an emergency. Additionally, a button could be programmed to send multimedia reports that include photos, videos, and audio recordings to the command center to document an incident. Customizing these buttons is a crucial aspect of the Awe Responder APP as it allows organizations to tailor the app to their specific needs and requirements. By programming these buttons to perform specific functions, organizations can ensure that their responders can communicate effectively with the command center and with each other, and that they can respond quickly and efficiently to incidents as they arise.
